Description:

Loans books, DVDs, audio books, video games, music and tech equipment. Computers, board games, puzzles, puppets, and other resources are available for use in the library.

Provides temporary shelter from extreme cold/hot weather conditions during listed hours of operation. Call first to confirm availability.

Primary Services:

Eligibility:

(1) Residents of incorporated Glen Ellyn
(2) Non-Residents of incorporated Glen Ellyn whose principle residence is in:
a. Glen Ellyn School District 41
b. Glen Ellyn School District 89
c. Closer to the Glen Ellyn Public Library than any other public library

Intake Process:

(1) Visit during normal business hours with the required documentation.
(2) 2 forms of identification needed to receive a library card:
a. 1 picture ID (valid state ID, drivers license, passport, school ID, country ID)
b. 1 document with name and current address (utility bill, mortgage or lease documents, current property tax bill, checkbook, current month's pay stub)
(3) Residents of Glen Ellyn under 18 years of age must have a resident adult parent or legal guardian sign their registration form at the time of their library card issuance.
(4) Non-Residents (see Eligibility for who qualifies) applying for a library card must provide:
a. 1 picture ID (valid state ID, drivers license, passport, school ID, country ID)
b. A current tax bill, lease, or valid rent receipt
(5) Call 630-469-0879 to confirm that Warming/Cooling Center service is open

Sunday, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Friday to Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
