Description:

Legal center that involves itself with litigation where the government has abused constitutional rights, such as reproductive rights, children's rights, racial justice, privacy, and gender discrimination including LGBT rights.

Most cases of individual unfairness or injustice cannot be accepted, however when individual concerns mesh with an issue already being worked on, assistance may be available.

Eligibility:

Cases must have occurred in Illinois or have involved Illinois residents

Intake Process:

(1) Request legal assistance by one of the following:
a. Fill out the 'Request for Legal Assistance Form' online on the website
b. By mail/post (include an email or phone number where the requester can be reached)
c. By Fax
(2) No in-office appointments offered
(3) Call or refer to website for details for the types of cases for which assistance is not provided

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
