Conductive Education

Programs that provide an approach to rehabilitation/special education for adults and children with a variety of motor disorders whose objective is to help them find ways to achieve their goals despite their disabilities. Conductive education is offered by "conductors", teachers trained in anatomy, physiology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology and special education, and involves a structured program of activities through which participants develop skills in bodily control, mobility and communication. The approach was developed by the Hungarian physician Andras Peto.
