Residential Brush Clearance

Programs that provide or pay for clearance of brush from yards and properties in the urban-wildland interface, particularly to create a defensible space around homes located in areas at high risk of a major brush fire, grass fire, woodland fire or other wildfire. Some communities mandate creation of defensible space in areas at greatest risk and may provide the labor to clear hazardous brush for older adults, people with disabilities and others who are physically or financially unable to do so without assistance.
