Description:

Parent Education (for divorcing and never married parents with minor children) encourages parents to develop a way to communicate with one another that keeps their children out of conflict. The classes motivate parents to focus on the best interest of their children and emphasize the need for parents to set aside personal differences in order to provide the healthiest environment possible for their children.

Hours:

(1) Caring, Coping, and Children (CCC): One Wednesday per month, 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
(2) Parents & Kids (PAK): One Wednesday per month, 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
(3) Online Co-Parenting Course (CPC): available online at any time after payment is received

Intake Process:

CCC:
(1) Register by calling 630-407-2450 or online at: https://www.dupageco.org/Community_Services/Family_Center/32273/
(2) Check in 15 minutes before seminar scheduled to begin
(3) No late arrivals allowed
(4) "Letter of Indigency" from a DuPage County court accepted to waive course fee
(5) Children not permitted in the seminar

CPC:
(1) Register for course at: www.dupageco.org/FamilyCenter/FamilyCenterRegistration.aspx?type=CPC
(2) Valid email address required
(3) Cannot take the online class on a cellular phone
(4) "Letter of Indigency" from a DuPage County court accepted to waive course fee

PAK:

Eligibility:

(1) CCC: to be attended by all parents with minor children seeking a divorce in DuPage County.
(2) CPC: to be taken online in place of CCC, by all parents with minor children seeking a divorce in DuPage County.
(3) PAK: to be attended in-person by all never-married parents appearing in court to establish parentage, parenting time, parental responsibilities or child support.
