Description

One-time, once in a lifetime grant to assist veterans and immediate family members, who are in a financial crisis. Grant coverage for auto repairs. Estimate must be from an auto repair shop that can be identified through a website, the Better Business Bureau (BBB), or a dealership.

Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Required Documents

Valid copy of DD214, NBG 22 report, DARP FM 249-2E, NRPC 1070-124, AF 526, NAVMC 798 or CG 4175; 2 copies of recent pay stubs, social security checks, and disability check; Picture of current credit score; Certification by an authorized dealer will be needed as proof if a purchase of new tires is needed/requested.

Eligibility

U.S. Military Veterans who received an Honorable Discharge or a General Discharge under honorable conditions; Is receiving some form of income or is actively searching for employment; Willing and available to work and pursuing education or training leading to employment; Surviving child between 18 and 26 years of age whose veteran parent was killed or died in the line of duty and is not married, living at home and is a full-time student in need of financial assistance; The financial crisis or hardship in question cannot be due to current or ongoing substance abuse; Veteran or surviving child must present themselves with sound moral character
